Puspa M. Das, Ph.D., is a New York State licensed psychologist. She treats adults across the lifespan. Dr. Das has a specialty in health psychology with a focus on adjustment to living with chronic health conditions. She also treats a variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, interpersonal problems and relationships, grief/bereavement, as well as life transitions such as retirement and career change.
Dr. Das has lived in the Capital District for most of her life. She is a graduate of Guilderland High School. She completed her B.A. at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Dr. Das also completed her graduate degrees at the University at Albany. She earned an M.S. and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling. Dr. Das received a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.
Dr. Das spent a year in primary care at the Buffalo VA as part of her training and education. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care family psychology and women's health at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital. After that, she was the Director of Master's Training in Mental Health Counseling at the University at Albany. Dr. Das then worked as a psychologist in primary care and women's health at the Syracuse VA before joining Capital Psychology in 2012. In addition, she has taught graduate courses as an adjunct faculty member in Counseling Psychology at the University at Albany.
